Hey Ra and all other gem enthusiasts! I came across this ‘glowing’ stone while at the Crestone Event this past weekend and I was wandering if you have ever heard of it or know anything about it. The stone is called ying Ming zhu. I initially thought it may be toxic due to the photo luminescence and with some research I have found some info about a glow in the dark, man made silica form but this rock was being peddled as ‘authentic dragons pearl’ from Chinese lore. So 1) have you heard or come across something like this and 2) even though it has the chemical makeup of a stone, how can I ensure it is not toxic to my customers?
